Jello

Jello is such a fun and unique dessert and it can be made up so quickly and easily. Most people however don’t simply want to serve a little square of jello because it doesn’t look like much time or effort went into it however there are plenty of ways that you can make a jello dish look really fun and exciting without putting too much time into it. Jello is so simple that all you have to do is empty one of the jello boxes into a specified amount of boiling water, let the sugar melt and the gelatin absorb, and then let it sit up in your refrigerator for a few hours. It is by far the easiest dessert to make and it takes practically no effort at all. Anything you do beyond that is just a bonus for making it look nice.

One of the easiest and most interesting things you can do to make a fun dessert out of jello is to make a jello “salad”. Most of the time this will consist of jello that has been cut into squares, marshmallows, small pieces of fruit like strawberries or raspberries, candied fruit, and sometimes even a few sweet nuts mixed in. Usually this is all blended together in a big bowl with cool whip. What’s really fun about these desserts is that if you use colored jello you can actually end up turning the whipped cream that you mix it up with that color as well so you may have pink or green whipped green mixing all your salad together. That’s a really fun option for family parties, picnics, and other types of events where you may not want to put in the effort or the time to make a big fancy dessert.

Another fun thing to do with jello is to create interesting molds with it. Jello molds come in all shapes and sizes and you can even make a wiggly jello cake if you want to. When you do this it can be fun to mix fruit or candy in with it to set inside the mold as well to make it look more unique and interesting. These types of jello desserts are often best served with just a bit of whipped cream to accompany them. If you want to get really creative you can make little jello molds of certain items that fit the theme of a party and then use them as little garnishes for other desserts too.

Jello can also be really fun if you use it to make jello ice cubes or other fun creations that act as a compliment to other dishes that are being served. You can make these all sorts of different colors and they look very fun and festive when mixed in with a cool drink.
