Dessert In A Cup
Sometimes the best way to end the meal is with a dessert drink. There are lots of great ways you can do this and the sky is the limit when it comes to creating your own dessert drinks. Many people like to have fun smoothies, root beer floats, home-made sodas and more. There are always new ideas and interesting combinations to try so try some of the ideas below and experiment with your own creations to see what you enjoy the very most.
Non-Alcoholic Dessert Drinks
Ice cream dessert drinks are very popular and a lot of fun in the summer too. They’re also handy for larger parties because they can be customized for individual people if you set up an “ice cream drink bar” and then everyone can have what they like. These are also great because they’re so quick and easy to make. Most dessert drinks that include ice cream are based around the root beer float concept - a couple of good scoop of ice cream with root beer poured over top - or whatever soda you like. Some people like to do grape or orange soda and others like cherry soda or cream soda. Really fun ones to try and bubble gum and watermelon soda. This is a great dessert for kids because you can just buy a few tubs of vanilla ice cream and four or five types of soda and that way each child can have exactly what they want.
You can also do smoothies (with or without ice cream) and these can even be made into a more healthy dessert if that’s something you’re interested in. Fruit smoothies or milkshakes are a fun way to do dessert especially if you’re looking for something other than the traditional chocolate chip cookies. You can also go with italian sodas (which are soda water with sugar flavorings and some cream mixed together) or even just some fun homemade lemonade or (for warmer months) hot chocolate or hot apple cider as dessert.
Baked Desserts In A Cup
Baked desserts in a cup can be really fun and entertaining ways to break up the monotony of a traditional dessert. They’re also great if you’re looking to do smaller desserts if you just have a few people you’re making dessert for or if you just want to do a special treat for yourself. Almost any dessert can be made in a little cup and this can make the presentation a lot of fun. Many people use little shot glasses to put desserts in while others prefer taller and more decorative cups. Whatever type of glass you choose it’s best that it’s clear so that you can see your fun dessert and the presentation through the glass. You don’t want to pick a glass that’s too tall though because a baked dessert will be much harder to eat out of a very tall glass.
There are plenty of desserts you can try baking in a cup such as brownies, tiramisu, souffle, certain types of pie and puddings and others like panna cotta and cheesecake that don’t have to be done in a huge dish. The fun part with these is making them look really interesting through the glass. You can do this by swirling certain ingredients, adding layers or fun ingredients that stand out and so on. If you decide to use larger cups or small bowls you can also top your desserts with fresh fruit, sauces, chocolate chips, ice cream and so forth that can make your desserts in a cup even more fun to eat. Make sure to serve these with spoons!
